      That's a handful of bits.

Isn't that how you killed your protos?

Just got my 600 back together after a radio glitch smashed it to pieces.
        Bad luck mate.

I was thinking of a throttle return spring for this situation - after I found a wire dropped off my plug from reg to battery on my 600n during maintenance. The last flight was a lucky one, and the engine would not have stopped.
The spring doesn't have to be strong, just enough to work against the servo gear drag when there is no power. I've seen enough film of thrashing helis to wonder why it is not a common fix. There could be a spring return servo made specially for the job, but the spring is best acting on the motor end of the linkage to cover the link coming off.

Lucky you weren't any closer when the clutch exploded, I was about 50 yards further away than you and it still scared the sh*t outta me...
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                  And a DX8 too
