Not happy Just assembled the frames and fitted the fuel tank before doing so. only problem is I forgot to fit the clunk line. So after 30 mins of cursing finally got it fitted to the tank. Only to find the length they give you is about 5mm too long. How hard is it for align to give the correct length of pipe?

Anyway have took it out, and in the process snapped the nipple off the clunk line, so now need a whole new tank

Anyone who is reading this and thiking of building a 700. FIT THE CLUNK LINE TO THE TANK, THEN FIT THE TANK WHILE ASSEMBLING THE FRAMES TOGETHER. And shorten the length of clunk line they give you.

some also use the outer hole to fit the fuel line into and the inner/middle hole they fit the bung so that you can change the clunk line without having to move the engine out of the way

The only problem with this is the clunk won't get all the way round the tank.

It's fiddly but you can press the raised bit down enough to fit through the sideframes (same as on the 600).

Also, if you're getting a 2nd tank - we can setup the uniflow system (two clunks needed) same as on mine.

It's worth noting that I have cut away a clink nipple sized hole in the sideframes to allow the inner clunk to pass through.

Rob, I'll have a look at your setup on the weekend, Just want to get the engine run-in and heli flying!

Just built the tail, and everything was silky smooth, till I connected the grips to the pitch slider, now it binding, even when I slacken the screws that go into the grips. I guess its one of those nights......new day tomorrow and all that. Its probably something simple, but bed's a calling.

oli if its just the clunk nipple you broke the 600N one can be used I think.

I'm one of the few running using the outer tank hole as per 600. You do have to shorten the clunk line accordingly to prevent the clunk sticking in the nearest back corner though. To ensure I can suck the last drop out of the tank I use a Fuel Magnet. I wouldn't run it like this with a normal clunk though.

Indeed - I bought a spare 600 tank just for the clunk so I could setup the uniflow on my 700.

Sieze2, rather than buy a new tank you can get HN6083 which is just the nipple, grommets, a bit of 4mm fuel tube, and clunk.

I knocked the nipple into the tank when I first put it together. I also wrecked it removing it.

To be fair...the fuel line is something you need to check yourself and cut to the desired length. So it's not really Align's fault on this one. You'll get to a few other issues that you can blame them for shortly though! lol

Yea thanks symon, its been ordered today. I need some longer rods ideally 60mm or so, to avoid only having 3mm screwed into the ball links, like the manual suggests ?!

Below was suggested HN6099 but they don't show in the UK on google?

You can then use the replaced linkage rod Cs as linkage rod D to get more bite in them too.

But the 700 rod sets are out now so you may be better off buying them as they'll be fixed.
