  • I am soooooo happy

Well I finally managed it, my first inverted hover

I am sooo happy I could cry LOL

Held my 600 nitro inverted for approx 30-45 seconds, flipped her back over, and then went inverted again.

I almost feel a fresh enthusiasm for my heli's

Just thought I would share my happiness

Well done mate. I am in the throws of learning inverted, and although i can hold it for 30 seconds or more on the sim, i cant bring myself to hold it for more than a few seconds with my 600!

It was one of my goals for this year to get stable inverted, but with weather and the nights now closing in it could be something that i wont quite master.

            Well done that man!
Been doing inverted for a little while now and have learnt to hold it both tail in and nose in.
Have also begun to do some inverted circuits.
Oh and I maidened my Trex 700 today Yay!
            Keep up the good work.
Aidi, I am sure you wont be far off doing it too. Your flying is very controlled and competant.

TBH I didn't give it much stick.
The engine is brand new and needs running in and it was windy as f***!
The little bit of hovering I did it felt very twitchy and would balloon up and came down just as quick too.
I think the headspeed may have been low (although Matt tached it at 1850) hance why it seemed wallowy to me.
Or maybe I am just being a big girls blouse as this is my first 90!
Will try on a calmer day.

Was a bit windy today Ade. The gusts were the worst, thats why you keep getting the ballooning. When we get a little more calmer day, will set the head up a little more constant and you will start to feel a lot more comfortable with it.

Nice one for getting the maiden out the way though
                  Cheers Matt

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

I can honestly say that this has made me want to fly more than anything else. In fact, over the past couple of months I have been getting a bit tired of the same old flight patterns, but now, I cannot wait to get back out :-)

Anyway, I will be practising more than ever, and gradually moving over to nose in inverted. Watch out Szabo's, here I come LOL
