  • First flights on my 700

    Ok,

Today I finally managed to get out and fly my Trex 700n. My first impressions are flippin great. I love the power available to me with this ship, also the speed and crispness of the head. I had three flights which is all I had time for but I came away yet again from the flyin field buzzing.

I had a few teething problems which are:

After three fights the main shaft has bedded in and now needs a shim to remove the play up and down.

I lost the main frame tail boom support which goes between the frames. I noticed this by the tail blowing out, without trying to hard. The reason why I figured this happened was because the hole is tight where the bolts go through the tail boom supports and main frames therefore wiping the loctite off as it goes through. I subsequenty put the loctite in the spacer which goes between the boom first. Might be worth looking at if you have not so already.

The tail push rod carbon tube was far to small on mine to get the metal pushrod through so I used a slightly larger one which has come loose around the metal push rod. Will 2 part epoxy this later.

Also manage to get the rev limiter working by moving the sensor away from the back plate.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

My conclusion SO FAR is very good. For the money I just don't see you can go wrong. I felt at home very quickly with this model.

Can't wait to get out again. Very soon

    Cheers
