Bought all my kits from Leeds model shop, always the cheapest I can find in the UK, I'm surprised there is such a mark up on the kits. You can get a 700 on ebay from HK for £395 with free delivery but maybe not worth chancing getting hit by tax if leeds are doing them for £425
Apart from the stability I just don't get 90's unless of course you are old and going blind
Mmmmm..
Dunno about that Phil, Watching a 90 size heli doing full-on 3D is much more entertaining than watching a lesser sized model don't you think..
And yes old and going blind maybe but 90 size helis certainly do have a presence in the air much more than a 450 or 500 size model, And don't forget the "noise" they make.
Looking at the results at 3DM this year the judges seem to agree, 90 size helis have more prescence and so tend to score higher, there were plenty of Logo 600's entered but results were disappointing.
I felt the same about 90's as I flew in a club where 60's were the biggest allowed, then I joined another club and watched all the 90's fly and bought a Fury Extreme as a result. I recently stripped the gear out of the Fury and fitted it to my new 700 and it's the heli I fly the most now and I do have a few options
I can certainly agree about the fuel costs though, running 30% is costing around £3.50 a flight
