  • Trex 700 muffler gap

My 700s Hattori pipe is way too close to the fuel tank, 2-3mm. The Hattoris header seems to be short? Any ideas guys?

Arwel as far as I can work out the header plate that bolts to the engine stays the same depth. It is the standoff height thats built onto the pipe itself is what varies depending on what model no of exhaust you have.

If you go to the Hatori website and browse the 937/938/939 piccys for the YS/OS 91 versions. They are a short/long header depending on the model

I have seen one where they reversed the grommets at the front and shorten the spacers a little to offset the pipe at the rear near the tank but you will poss have to cut the canopy a little. I would only do this by a small amount as you dont want to put to much stress on the header or risk a poor seal

    cheers Brian
