So on soon will be going a GY611 that i find works excellent on my synergy when it arrives.
        James,
Just for my info, what gain settings are you running most of the time?

I have a CSM720 with BLS252 on my 600n and it is flawless.
I have a CSM720 with 9254 on my knight and it isn't quite as good yet.

CSM service turnround is usually very good indeed - and they are very helpfull on the phone - so why not buy british?

CSM 720 cannot believe you missed them off
Second that, holds the tail really well in fast backwards, and pitch pumping manuvoures, and is very consistant on yaw rate, not as much lock as some other gyros at centre stick, but they tend to not be as consistant in yaw rate.

Edit: I am using a 720 on my evo50 with the 8900G, if you go for the 720 take a good look at the 8900G to go with it, very fast and enough torque for the job, not as much as a 9254, but at least its not got the 9254's rep for reliablility, or go for a brushless or a 9256.

Pleanty of good combos out there, but CSM recommend JR servos, initially the 8700G until that was replaced by the 8900G (twice as fast)

Got a GY611 on my 600e and works fantastic but due to its size and extra wiring wouldnt buy another.

Spartan ds760 in three of my helis now and just cannot fault them so that's where my vote is cast..

I thought the 8900G was getting a similar reputation now?

Just asking as I have one on my Knight and had heard rumours.

I personally don't think the 611 is worth looking at now when compared to the 720/760. It's too complex and too big for me now, if you have one use it but if you are spending money look elsewhere. Same goes for the Solid G I guess...why add the weight?

They have no seals so when mounted on the boom they are a liability imo. I know this is a gyro thread but the servo is equally important. If the Hitec 6965 is reliable and its specs are correct then for most running 6 volts regulated systems this servo is as good as the JR 8900 if not better because it does have seals.

True, but if you check them regularly, then there shouldnt be a problem, I've just checked mine a couple of minutes ago, and I've had it for a while and its had a lot of flights and its tail mounted, and it had bearly anything in it, just a thin film of oil in the actual joint between the parts of the case, not near the circuit board.
