I converted to CSM 720's about 8 months ago. I personaly find them a amazing gyro. I now have 4 of them and use nothing else. Piro consistancy is second to none and so far I have just plug and played them. When fitting them to a trex 600n you have to play with the mounting if you intend to mount it at the front. This is bceause it won't fit under the canopy with the upgraded forward mount. I can post some pictures up of where I mounted mine if you like. If not you can mount it at the back.

          Hope this helps

spartans have been good for me, aslong as your on the latest firm ware and don't have static issus, it's rock solid and nice neat small package.

i have 2x spartans working with BLS 251's
DMHC = Nice place to fly!

another vote for the 720 here. Cannot fault either of mine ( but i don't push them too far
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

              And a DX8 too

I run a 401 currently on the 600 and had no probs, but i am now at the point where i struggle sometimes with gain settings as i use it to it's capability more. Have to keep adjusting, expecially when the wind changes on different days.
So on soon will be going a GY611 that i find works excellent on my synergy when it arrives.

i don't want to sound rude, i will refrain from pitching x or y because of obvious links but why would anyone want a 611 now?

the "new" generation of gyros are much better in every way. let me also say i have had a total of 13 601/611's and they were brilliant but if i was buying now it would be way down my buying list. IF you have one or can get one cheap then by all means go for it as it will serve you well but if you need to buy new then i would look elsewhere, just my own honest opinion.

                  cheers

                    Here's the thing

CSM, Spartan, Futaba 611, Cutris Gyros are all very good

All have their + and - points.

Personally not sure you'll go far wrong with which ever one you choose

I'm staying away from what's the best that boils down to personnel preference

on thing i neglected to add, i would give consideration to what people have in your club or plan to buy in your club incase you do need a little assistance. if this is not a concern then by all means take your pick.

you can get help on this forum generally for most gyros if you are stuck.

                      cheers

No contest..Its got to be either a CSM720 or Spartan DS760. I would rule out the 601/611 due to size/complexity and with the CSM720/DS760 you can use ANY framerate tail servo

One piece is the way to go. Less likely to be damaged, very light /compact/easy to fit and use. Both the 720/760 are awesome and will make you very happy on 50 size and above.

If you later on intend on moving into smaller models 500 Size and under I would defo go for the Spartan DS760 as it works a treat with the Mini Digi tail servo's e.g Fut9257.

The CSM720 really prefers a full size tail servo for some unexplicable reason that no one has yet managed to come up with a genuine reason for. Yes it can be tweaked (as can a Spartan) but then the Spartan just works for ya out of the box..

                        there ya have it...wallet time

                        Cheers Brian

Well just to chuck another choice into the mix, I prefer the JR770T. I use the JR8900G servo with it and it works very well. Easy to set up, crisp stops and a mental piro rate

                          Cheers

i miss the bitch fights this is all too nice and friendly

i hate this whole your sponsored must be biased thing. i have a 601 out on loan to charlie cave other on the servo is dead sitting. have had 720s in the past and the knight has a solid g although im probably gonna rip it off and put a spartan on it.

you can get it to 99% performance with just a basic on the bench setup only trouble is they cant make em quick enough so can be hard to get hold of.
