  • 600 NSP Pitch/Throttle Curves for Beginner

    Hi,

I have just finished my first build - a 600 NSP with Align RCE-600 governor.

I followed Finless Bobs' build video and (until I get a pitch gauge big enough to fir over the blades) assume I have around -10, 0, +10. Obviously, as a learner I do not need all that pitch, or 0 at mid stick for hovering .

I assume from Bob's comments that once the head mechanics are setup, the tr is used to dumb-down the heli's response if required?

Can someone please advise me on suitable pitch and throttle curve settings on a Futaba 7C tr, although I understand the the throttle curve has to be linear when running a governor just in case of failure.

    Thanks
    Shaun.

There are 2 ways of doing this. 1 is the old school way of mid stick hovering with 5ish degrees of pitch at mid stick and the newer way wher hovering is achieved with 5ish degrees at 3/4 stick

Well I would'nt think you would want too much down-wash when you start up so I would start the pitch at about 35-40 % so the blades are about -3 degrees then try to make it a little more linear from there up to 100%. ( well I think anyway )

Thanks everyone, finally got a pitch gauge to fit the blades and have a range of +14 to -14 with a linear curve. Pitch curve set to give +12, +5 at mid-stick and -3. Throttle curve is set to 0, 40, 60, 80, 95. Ready to go hovering now. Any comments?
