there are no build pictures mate, i will get some today at field.

one major thing i forgot to mention was this new idea they have of holding the mast in place. (a lip machined onto the main mast) they supply 3 shims in the kit to shim it but they were all useless as they were far too think. they supply a 0.8, 1 and 1.2mm shim kit but i had to raid my own shim kit and eventually settled on 0.4mm. i would suggest anyone getting a 700 order a 12mm shim kit for rc cars or you might end up not being able to do anything.

    cheers

mike, the short answer is i don't really know as i haven't flown it. it has ended up very light which is the only saving grace for me at the moment.

i don't really look at the view point well it's a good buy for 500 quid. doesn't matter it's 500 or 5000 i still shouldn't need to fix what i did and still have left to fix.

i sincerely hope the change the main mast and go back to a collar like everyone else or there will be people complaining. the tollorences are just too tight there to get it spot on every time.

          cheers

no it never flew, still few odds and sods needing done. there was too many probs during the build i had to fix or it would have flown. weather was nice.

i took it to club and thought about finishing it but i decided against doing so. i did get the pitch setup and i have 12-12 with just over 9 degrees of cylic with no binding. i'm guessing 9 degrees will be too much so i could trade that for more pitch if i wanted.

of note that is 710 radix but i ordered 690 v blades from fastlad.....should be interesting.

                  cheers

as has been said and thought a lot, its built down to a price, not up to a standard!

woth regards to the biuld not being as simple as some thought, i think its worth mentioning that the synergy build is just as demanding with regards to shimming shafts etc, but then if you arent up to building a mchine properly that isnt a mechano kit that flys like the 450 and 600, then you really shouldnt be flying a 90 size machine!

well i flew the 700 tonight. flies really well, got a few setup issues to sort out but it's nice and certainly feels very lights (probably because it is!)

the cyclics are no where near as fast over all as i was led to believe they would be. i can see a paddle change in the offing for me. the paddles are very thick at the leading edge so probably accounts for that.

one other thing was i had slow side-side tail wag but not a gain wag. after a few mins found the culprit. the pre assembled tail was caked in loctite. when i got it i tried to get it apart and i put as much pressure on it as i felt comfortable and couldn't move the grip bolts......now i know why. anyway quick clean up and re-grease (btw there is a token amount of grease in there as standard) and the tail was sorted.

                            cheers

I'm using 95mm V Paddles on mine with Radix 710 mains (SB's and non-SB's), not tried the stock paddles. Ash, Robgt and myself all agree that mine is stupidly fast on cyclics at 9 degrees cyclic pitch so it has to be your paddles or blades...

I'm guessing the stock paddles are aimed at making the heli slower for sport level fliers who perhaps don't want the speed?

trev, i figure the paddles are to blame. the leading edge is so thick. i will try a set of stubz on it tomorrow if i can borrow a set. i doubt it is the blades as i tried a couple of sets on it. there was a marked improvement flying with the V blades over radix but could be attributed to 690 v's 710.

                                cheers
