The 600 has been set up or whatever was done (I had it explained but got really lost on the technical stuff!) and a training undercarriage (chicken) the size of a small car fitted (taking no chances here)......................and then I flew it.

Call me sad - you lads must be flying around the clock and be brilliant at what you do but, what a buzz to put the thing together from scratch, check and double check then check again, have it set up and then actually get it in the air!! Nothing too adventurous, mind, but appears to be an easier heli to fly than the Belt CP. But a hell of a lot bigger and a bit more scary.

I know I should be on the sim but I just had to try and get this thing up in the air just as a reward for the hours spent building it. Think I will hover it and move it about a little for a time but really clock up some big hours on the sim in order to avoid the inevitable and expensive crash!

i remember the first time i flew my lil rappy. wobbly hovers with chicken sticks on. i was chuffed it left the ground!!!!! then i took it to dmhc and chrisb flew it and WOW i didnt know it would do that he made it all look so easy and it flew and hovered rock solid. it really is a buzz

keep up the hours on the sim mate until your bored sh!tless in fact but it does help.

me too me too.have had about eight tanks through the sport now.didn't want to post sooner in case i put my baby into the ground....but i haven't yet.still doing tail in and some sideways orientation and a little forward flight.took her up to the height of a chimney on a semi and had a little moment with orientation and heavy cyclic usage....woaaa there... heartrate increased at least double,mouth went dry,legs started to shake but no crash..!! what a buzz,can only imagine what some aerobatics would do to my poor old body.should have gone out today as the weather is ideal.i need the sim time as well but usually end up on the net.....oh here i am again

Yep, its a real buzz when you build it yourself and then fly it! With regards to the setup, i wholly recommend going over to HeliFreaks and down loading the Finless setup videos. Although you have yours all setup, watching and learning how to set up properly will really help you in the future.

As long as you get the idea of how to set it up, you will have a good idea of how it makes things work better, and it will give you a better understanding for the future.

Just enjoy it at the moment, and as Boggy says.. Sim Sim and more Sim. It will be a god sent in the long run, and you will have the chicken sticks off before you know it!
