TREX 600 Nitro canopy issues!!

I have been fed up for ages with Aligns badly designed canopy mount on the nitro...vibration has caused the loss of 1 canopy and a huge amount of canopy rubbers...How hard can it be for them to make something that works like this product i found?

This guy on ebay is selling metal canopy mounts for the trex 600 nitro with thumb screws. Not only does this cure the problem but also looks far better than the standard mount.

My question is....why do i have to go through 2 canopys and bags of rubbers only to have to buy a fix on ebay when Align could easily bundle something simular with the kit? And what canopy fixing do they have on the new 700?

I recommend these too - superb mounts. Good to see someone selling these in the UK.

Before getting mine my canopy flew off in a boom strike, and because of this more damage was done to the front rx tray in the ensuing carnage.

The canopy acts exactly like a crash helmet when in position protecting the expensive electrical gear at the front so in addition to the risks of it flying off from vibration you want it to stay on at all times. Better to replace a £45 canopy than both side frames and your RX etc. as I had to

Just as an update on UK availability of the metal canopy mount upgrade for the 600 nitro and electric.

I found them on sale in the UK at www.stormtrade.co.uk


I'm always on the hunt for good upgrades so i'll share any i get. It would be nice to see what other problem solving items are out there guys....pray tell
