The main advantage with Align isn't the purchase price, although it helps, it's the reasonable cost of spares. If you look at the Vibe 90, £799 sounds a good price for the kit - until you price up an average crash The Synergy and Aurora are more reasonable but I'd bet 700N spares won't be double 600N prices.

They've only recently started supplying main blades in kits with the 450, 500 and 600N Super Pro so the 700N kit without blades is what I'd expect plus most 90 heli flyers have their own preferences. Align had enough problems with 600mm blades, just imagine Align 700mm blades .

I've been using the SAB's that I got with my Fury Extreme but I'm thinking about a pair of Maniac blades, I'm using them on almost everything at the moment and love them.

You tend to not get main rotor blades supplied with a 90 size machine.
For that size heli, it's a decision best left to the pilot - thats the way I see it anyway
              Cheers,

                Steve.

I know what your saying mate, Its just that every Align model I have bought to date has had the main blades supplied in the box.

Like you I love the Maniacs too..

i'm glad there is no main blades. you couldn't pay me to use align blades on anything but the 500. once align gets into bigger blades they are not very good.

                  cheers

I'll stick my neck out and disagree with that statement, the Align 600 Ds are actually pretty good for the money.

I've got the following which seem to handle real nice:

                          9252's on cyclic
                          9253 on throttle
                          CSM 720 and JR8900

                          Hatori 939
                          Revlock 30 governor
                          CSM Carbsmart

My second one will be getting:

                          bls451's on cyclic
                          3152 on throttle
                          CSM 720 and bls251
                          YS 91 SR
                          Dunno what pipe yet
                          Revlock 30 governor
                          CSM Carbsmart

I use the FMA Powerforce regulator with a Revolectrix 4200 2s lipo for power a 6v.

i'm going to keep this heli light so i'm thinking a duralite regulator which are 7.5amps. that said i have an arizona reg and 4800 relion spare which i may use until i decide. might even use 2100 2s revo pack and charge it while i'm flying my 500.....choices choices.

the reactor x is also a brilliant bit of kit which i have seen up close. i have not seen this fma one but i shall ofcourse be calling mike to find out.

as for the pipe trev the sb19 or 946 are really your only 2 options for that motor. i'm not a ys fan so my choice is a little larger for os.

                            cheers

Thanks, fyi, my 939 on the OS 91 SZ kicks ass and I am chuffed with it. Was BobJ's recommendation.

i'm fortunate to have tried all the hatori exhausts as my club mates/myself bought them all.

the sb series does hold on better but it's like 40 quid more i think than the 938/9. the problem with the sb series is they are picky on HS. the sb17 only works upto 15500-15750 and above that you really need the sb18 to get the most from the OS's.

a mate has the ys91sr, well had i should say as it is ruined after 4 gallons with an mp5 and it never sounded quite right. but he didn't like the hatori looks on his vibe so he sacraficed the performance slightly.#

edit- don't forget tt has a 96/106 redline coming out very soon. i'm not buying any engine till i find out about that. i just bought a redline 53 so i'll see what happens there first.

                                cheers
