Hi Rob..Its early days yet

I think there is 6 screws for the Radio Tray and only 4 on the tail gearbox..

With the longer boom of a 90 and the way we treat the tails on these things.. especially playing silly bu££ers when winding them up in rate mode etc (super piro's)..guilty as charged

currently too flexy me thinks.. On the 600N we have 1.6mm but only a step up to 2mm for a 90 with a bigger more powerfull tail with considerably more leverage

Even the 600N could be improved considerably!

Regarding the radio tray - (see pic) I've ringed three bolts that I think are holding it to the heli - and potentially the canopy mounting post is part of that too?
Just guessing here...

0.4mm probabley means an increase of 2 plys, and if laid at 45 degs angle to the other plys increase the stiffness considerably.
Like you say time will tale.
Being the 90 boom is longer, i expect that is why it is made of composite, that bugger won't flex no way near as a alu one would.

I spotted that as well, needs a boom stay brace.... you can see the vibes....

The boom itself will be OK its the bit at the end..between the frames. 600N is similiar to look at in this area..

The area on a 600N below the front tail gearbox..the further down the frames you go the more it flexes. Just grab one and pull the boom side to side and you can see the frames moving. Look at the top edge of the tank when you do this and you will clearly see the tank rubbers sliding around on the tank.

The stay are mounted just below this level. On a 600N If you mount the stays to the rear U/C mounting it SHOULD increases tail rigidity due to the increased triangulation between boom/Stays. On the 600 this is not the case..it actually lowers potential gyro gain.

Worringly..Its very similiar on the 700 to look at

i was hoping they would change a few things. i guess it's probably a little late for the first run. why is it align are always so damn close but so far from what the user wants. have they not learned from previous attempts....ok folks, place yer bets on the dampers lasting 10 flights.

Depends if they put that sleeve mod in the kit that i would hope they would do for the sake of a couple of quid, they should also put these into the new kits for the 600 and 500. Since fitting the sleeve to my 600, the dampers last longer. Not sure how many flights i have had on them now but i am not as extremme as some of you guys anyway.
