  • Buddy Lead Insurance Question

    Heya All,

This question is mainly directed at BMFA Experts, Instructers, ect
    Heres the Question:

I would like to buddy my dad on my Raptor 30 at the 14th June Midland Flyin, I have BMFA Insurance, but my dad does not, seeing as this will be his first ever flight, and i was wondering if because hes buddied to me would he fall under my Insurance (seeing as i have control over the model, and can take over at anytime), or would he need to have Insurance aswell?

If he does need Insurance, Is there a possiblity where he could just pay for insurance for the day?

    Regards
    Callum

I might be wrong - but provided you have and he's accepted under the club he's covered under the club till his INS comes through.

My club recently (last week) told me that you have to be A certified to be able to invite 'guests' to fly as this is a BMFA requirement for ins. cover - not checked as I dont have any one I want to invite but if you dont have your A cert then it might be an issue...
