I like them both as well but the BMFA gives more time to Control Line and Free Flight than it does to Helis. Those 2 parts of the sport must be the lowest participation sections of all
There are a few people in there trying to change things but it's the same as at many clubs the PSOG have a far louder voice and they close ranks all too easily

I had to leave a club once as the oldies didn't believe that it was safe for a raptor 50 to do such aerobatics as a loop and a roll as most real helicopters can't do them, I put it down to they didn't like change and a young bloke coming in using foreign fuel and japanesse models but yes the bmfa is very biased

Why the limited audience if you don't mind me asking?Originally posted by Stuart View PostOnly a small selection (over 100 members) can view this - not all site sponsors can see it.Phil

Pretty much mirrors how i felt in about 2003 (when i left the local club also... and found RCHeliaddictOriginally posted by andysadd View PostI had to leave a club once as the oldies didn't believe that it was safe for a raptor 50 to do such aerobatics as a loop and a roll as most real helicopters can't do them, I put it down to they didn't like change and a young bloke coming in using foreign fuel and japanesse models but yes the bmfa is very biased
). Although back then i wasnt even doing aerobatics. For me they just didnt want to know because IMO they thought helis were far more dangerous and so didnt want any part in it.

I didn't want it to distract away from the main forum activities. So a smaller selection from the Site Sponsors seemed the best option. I can again create another group and pose the same poll's to compare, though if I get a full 100 votes across every poll I doubt I will need more.Originally posted by Smoothound View PostWhy the limited audience if you don't mind me asking?Cheers
