It isn't a lot cheaper over here, mine worked out at about £130, I just got it here to avoid the problems with the wrong controller.

If Ripmax will swap it over for you that sounds like the best solution.

has anyone tried updating hobby king real flight G5/ or any other un-registered real flight versions using official real flight G6 upgrade CD at all?

I think this might be a pirate (unofficial) version. It is unlikely you will be able to upgrade it.

I did the upgrade from RF 4.5 to 6, then updated that to 6.5 from the download on the RF website. I was expecting it to do a 4.5 to 6 upgrade and it didn't, it's basically installed RF6 alongside RF4.5, so I now have both installed.

Must admit though, 6.5 is better than 4.5 so I'm happy with the upgrade
