Hi guys, Ive been praticing my piroflips for about 2 hours a day for the last week. I was really getting frustrated then It suddenly clicked. To all the pros out there does my recording look ok to you? I know its abit all over the place but have I got the general idea. Thanks.

Been watching a few recordings, cant seem to figure it out though.

Tom Burgess (think I have seen Ash Davis do this too?) looks like he stirs the cylic in 2 small figure of 8s, looks ridiculously hard but looks top banana.

Matt Lodges video shows it how Shay explained it, so stirring the cyclic in a larger circle.

..either way, mine are looking worse than what they did a month ago!

hehe i started with the one piro per flip. The tail moves 180dgrs from upright to inverted which means the tail actually ends up facing you again when it's inverted. Then from there you can work out how to progress it easier.
Same with most tricks, if you can break it down into small sections to learn then piece them together it's a lot easier to work out/learn.
Thanks to the videos on this thread and time in phoenix I can finally do them for real Wahooo! now it's time for the double piro flips lol

Yup, thats what I can do.

Yet there seems to be another variation to the piro flip?

There are 3 main flip variants.
1. You do 1 full pirouette for a complete flip
2. You do 2 full pirouettes for a complete flip (one 360dgr into inverted, one 360dgr out of inverted)
3. You do 4 full pirouettes for a complete flip (720dgrs into inverted, 720dgrs out)
Also the best way of me to describe the other way is that you can start the flip at different points but i pretty much always now start at about 12 o'clock on the cyclic and then rotate in the correct direction.

I just figured out how to do them with Gareths help on the sim the other week.

Just got to get my tail in inverted sorted as I think this will help too.

You just need the final kick ie the two J J on the radio, nearly there mate, that full move is the Half Piro flip,

I think the first half of mine is alright, its going from inverted to upright where my tail seems to go too wide, and I need a lot of forward elevator to get it back into the hover.
