  • Random twitches

So, I've noticed in Phoenix lately that every so often I get random cyclic twitch, it can be any of the cyclic movements, it does it on both DX6's I have so its not the tx, its very strange, you can see it on the display controller/ reaction of the heli and also the noise the blades make when it happens, has anyone else encountered this or know of a possible cause? I'm running version 4m at the moment...

Check it by wiggling the lead at all it's junctions while plugged in...
        Good luck,

Wiggling and jiggling has no effect on it, I've only noticed it since it auto updated to version 4m

I'm thinking it is the interface cable now, even though wiggling all the connections down the cable has no effect, I loaded phoenix up on my laptop as well and tried it in all versions with 2 different dx6's and still get the random twitches (becoming more regular now) will send the cable back to HH and see what they say.

I had this from day 1 and someone said it is a Spektrum trait, are you all on spektrum?

It's most likely the Phoenix Dongle lead, break in the wire.

It won't be a 'Spektrum' issue, but there's a small possibilty it's the stereo mini jack connection into the PPM/Buddy socket on your TX if it's worn or broken.

Well it does it both dx6i's, both are under 2 months old, so wont be worn jack port, if there was a break in the wire it wouldn't work at all and if it was a weak connection wiggling the wire would interupt signal (which it doesn't) The sim is less than 2 months old too.

I ve rung HH and they say they haven't really come across this issue much but is probably down to gimbal calibration, recalibrated on both dx6i's with fresh model settings and still does it.

Guess Ben could be right and its just a spektrum trait, will just have to live with it I guess even though its annoying.

It might not be a full break. It could be intermittent.

Go back to the retailer you bought it from or ask HH if they will check the lead for you.

I get this too, on DX6i and DX8. It has always done it, about once every ten minutes of flying.
Looking at the screen though, it looks more like a jump in the helis whole position and attitude, rather than a jump in just one cyclic - sometimes the image jumps half an inch on the screen, then continues flying OK.
I have always assumed it is a bug / feature of Phoenix running on my win 8 PC.

Lots of different things that fly

And happy to have FOUR shiny EGS

Have any of you guys contacted Phoenix with this issue?
