  • full motion flight sim??

i like this but think it could be loads better with alot more work and by changing a few things. bigger front screen, side screens, more movement and better timing from chair to the actual sim on the screen

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBD9Juqx7PI[/ame]

i wonder how it works with a heli and fsx. i think you would need another axis so the whole lot can 360/540/720 on the spot.

    your thoughts please........
    cheers

lol sorry guy's but that makes me laugh, he looks to the right at the wall and he can't see the screen now he needs multiple monitors... Now if you were sitting in your living room and flying a small heli in the garden that would be cool.
            Cheers

i thought about that stu. mounting a camera on the heli and flying it by looking at a monitor or my 46" plasma. you would have to have a good camera and reciever setup(exspensive) beacuse there is a delay in image from the heli to the tv on most normal remote camera setups.

Looked more like the sim was taking him for a ride than him flying it

Sad bastard, tiny screen, totally out of synq, and if there was a bloke who ever needs to be laid quick that's him.

At least when we fly helis it looks dead cool.

take the **** all you like, but i think kudos is deserved for even getting that far with it! It obviously needs some work, but i think hes done bloody well to make that! although the head track thing is totally pointless!

Now turn that into a motorcycle sim with handlebars and seat, a nice 20" LCD with a PS2/3, XBOX 360 riding games and it would be a killer, the turn ins while taking corners would be awesome

I guess I was a little brutal, it didn't mean to come out half as nasty sounding as it did.

Well guys, I'm sure he thinks similar thought about our hobbys.

He's an enthusiast and hes built something to help him enjoy his hobby. Do we not do the same?

Watching it its actually not bad at all. Theres not really any 'lag' as some have said. Falcon 4 has head shake and he's using Track IR. If you were flying those sort of manouvers in an F16 your head would 'Lag the Screen'

Yes he could use a bigger screen and it could be prettier but all in its not too bad for home made.

Oh and yes I also have FS2004, FSX and Falcon 4. If fact most of the Really Good Flight Simulation programs. Also track IR 4 Pro and the trackclip Pro. You only have to move your head slightly and the software can move the screen as much or as little as you need it to.

Try watching some of these http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/...ct-videos.html

                            What about this http://www.noonco.com/flyer/

Oh and some of the guys in the Virtual Airline game have actually built fullsize replica 737/747/Airbus cockpits to play in !
