Tu flight 3d simulator

Can anyone help, bought a Tru flight 3d sim and tried to run it but it keeps coming up with an error message-
unable to detect transmitter adaptor

Try-flite was a sim around 12 years ago. It used a serial port based transmitter interface and software copy protection dongle. I don't remember them releasing a newer USB version TBH and I moved onto reflex and aerofly pro.
