Phoenix is generally considered to be the market leader in sims.

I have an old version of Aerofly Deluxe and it's pretty pants in comparison. However, I've never tried the latest version in native Mac.

I just use Phoenix in Bootcamp at maximum resolution/speed etc and it's flawless.

Take your Macbook to a reputable model shop and try it before you buy it.

Aerofly is superb, I prefer it to Phoenix which I had before. It also means you don't need to infect your Mac with infernal MS products!

What info are you after specifically?

        Hi Ruston,
I still enjoy using the Phoenix its been a very good learning tool, the graphics and flying 'feel' for me are very nice but, now the mac users have the Aerofly available to use, as you say there would be no need to use Bootcamp ect.
I dont want to go buy and install the Aerofly if the general feeling of those who have tried it, feel it is not good and comparable to Phoenix ie graphics and 'feel' ect.
I saw a while ago vikky tried the Areofly and believe she was going to give some feed back on it, i have looked but couldn't find anything.

Hey, I'd say the graphics on Aerofly 5.7 are better than Phoenix. There's plenty of video footage on the Aerofly website or YouTube to judge for yourself. Most people who have seen the sim running on my mac think it is video of the real models, it really is that good.
I fly both helis and fixed wing and find the feel in Aerofly to be very close to reality. I only fly scale helis however so I can't really comment on the 3d performance. You have a comparable range of model editing options with Aerofly as you do with Phoenix so any model can be tailored to your own liking.
Technical support is from Germany but they were very helpful (and spoke good English) when I had to contact them about configuring the software for use with my DX10.

for the mac check out neXt Aerobatics - Top Secret? - in my opinion no other sim at the moment comes closer to reality - unfortunately it doesnt work with the phoenix dongle as it will only send encrypted data out so you cant use it elsewhere ... a cheap dongle will do though ...
