Steam is an online gaming platform. It's well over a decade old. I used to use it when it first came out, but then I quit PC gaming. I just got it again this year, and I'm still using my old account.

      Advantages:
No dongle, so you can't break it or lose it. That also makes it cheaper as there's no hardware to buy. You can use almost anything that works as a game controller on Windows, like the V-Control, Taranis, or an actual game pad like a PS3/4 pad or Xbox pad.
Any other radio with a trainer port can use an cheap £5 FMS dongle.

Automatic almost seamless updates (updates when you start the steam client, which is a boot up for most people). No need to download huge files and un-install then re-install. It's all done for you.
Friends lists. The Steam client also includes an instant messenger, meaning you can arrange online sessions without having to load up the sim to see if there's a session up.
You can also run the steam version separate to the old dongle version, meaning you don't have to have one or the other if you spent a ton of time on setups for example.

      Disadvantages:

You have to have the steam client and a steam account (they're free, obviously).
Other than that I can't think of any.

AccuRC is actually worth using now. It's taken a long time (I bought it at launch) but it's finally there. Just this last week, VTX blades have been added in the 697, 717 sizes, and yesterday the 557s were added. All modeled with data from the engineer that designed the blades.
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

With Steam that should be fine, Steam manages all the copy protection and it will just ensure you're only running it on one at a time.

Heck, now my kids are old enough to start liking some of my games, I've shared my Steam library with their accounts, so they can play my games too. It's a very well thought out platform.

                  Nice

Is there a comparison between RF7.5? In terms of flying characteristics.

They're both pretty good, if you have a high spec PC and are willing to put the time in, AccuRC is better, it's the only one to capture all the real subtle details of heli flight. But on a lower spec machine, RealFlight is easier to set up and runs better.

On a high end PC I'll use AccuRC, but on my standard work laptop it's RealFlight for me, and that's ending up getting more stick time from me just for that reason.

They're both more than good enough to learn everything up to high end 3D flying.

AccuRC doesn't really need a high spec PC. My PC hasn't had a new part in it for 6 years, and it was only mid-range when I built it. It's an intel i5 2500K CPU (3.2Ghz quad core), 8GB ram, AMD Radeon 7700 GFX card. Nowhere near enough to run a modern PC game.

It does need more than the other sims though, there's no doubt about that.

                        Nice mates,

I already have RF7.5 and it is awesome, so i was thinking if the accurc is worth over it.

                        Cheers.

                            Any dongle that works with:
                            neXt
                            Heli-X
                            Clearview
                            FMS

should work. That's not my list, I borrowed (stole) it from ArchmageAU on helifreak.
