Norton users be aware of this!

Apparently Norton AV is very unhelpfully deleting the AccuRC.exe after upgrade, please set an exception in your Norton AV to stop this happening, there is no virus or issue it's just Norton being unhelpful. I'll add an FAQ on our portal about this.

Great post Mark. I think you hit the nail on the head with the above quote. That has answered my question pretty much

Excited to see how this develops. If my current PC had a bit more guts i would own it already. I just need to upgrade it and be done with it lol.

Glad you got it running. Yes you need to do the install and then run the updater program it installs from the windows start bar ->Programs > ArruRC

I had an issue with all of my heli's that I had added to my workshop area being completely uncontrollable after the update.

On spool up, the tail would piro at silly rates and the heli self destruct every time.

This was solved by deleting the heli from my hangar, and then re-adding it - but you have to go back through the setup again, which is a bit of a bummer if you had spent any time customising and adjusting.

Other than this, the update seems to have solved a few of the issues I was having - most noticably the collective delay seems to be a little better.

Why has the same not happened over Accurc?
Because there are very few people who own AccuRC comparing to Phoenix, hence less vocal on forums.

1.1 update pretty much removed all control lag I've been experiencing, although, I had to redo all my helis (just two of them so no big deal).

Please improve shaders on the models at some point soon - they could be much better at no expense of performance on recommended specs machine.

                        Thanks for the feedback mate
Will have to wait then. For the time being i don't get enough free time to just practice at the sim, so i prefer doing it at the field.

                              From the AccuRC team

We currently have an outage on our update server, this is causing problems for people on version 1.1 of AccuRC by stopping the sim running, as a temporary workaround you can disable your internet connection whilst it starts (and re-enable once running and in the workbench if you want to). This can take a few minutes longer to start than usual but it will get there. Sorry for any inconvenience caused, we'll keep you updated!

EDIT: We are in the process of moving to a faster, more reliable server but it will take a couple of days to sort out and get the DNS updated.

UPDATE: we've implemented a temporary fix to get people back up and running. The sim will report that there is an update available but there actually isn't yet.

As AccuRC starts it looks for updates on the internet, because the server was down Accurc was "Searching" but not finding the server which was causing it to hang. The update you are seeing is a false update just to allow AccuRC to start normally.Just close the box and carry on as normal. :-)
