To make the holes you could use a canopy reamer, that's what I used on the 1/4 scale dials and yours are smaller.

Yes there is a voltage switch on top! What voltage do you want? You have 6.0 - 6.8 selectable with the switch and then separate outputs with 5.2. Regarding needing 'more cables', it depends how you wire it up but at the very most you'd use a few servo leads that would generally be something you'd have for a build anyway and you can get a pack of ten for 2 quid. Soooooo, needless to say, I am puzzled.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

The going is quite slow at the moment as job change and lack of funds takes hold.
I do have a question though. I've painted the main part of the canopy in automotive paint and leave to dry for at least 3 days, but when I rest the painted canopy on something it leaves a mark so I have to repaint it.
Will it stay like that until I lacquer it ?
Also I'm nearly at the stage where I can start putting the mechanics back into the frame so some more pics will be coming soon.

did you paint the colour on top of the primer before it had dried?
or was it very damp when you painted it?
as both can lead to the top coat not drying correctly
time will allow the top coat to dry
or rub it back down and start againHirobo Turbulence D3

try leaving it out in the sun tomorrow
as the high temps we've got at the moment may cure the paintHirobo Turbulence D3

silly question but did you use the same manufacture and type of paint as there are different paints using different thinners in them which can cause all sorts of probs also did you clean the area to be painted with alcohol or something similar again this can cause probs along with not cleaning properly
you need to check all these things and check compatibilityDX6I

painting can and will bring all sorts of problems
my morley 47 that didn't cure was painted in the winter
the yellow canopy cured no problem the white one didn't same make of paint same primer
and painted at the same time
the white did cure after a few months but hardened off in the sun to a fantastic finishHirobo Turbulence D3

Small update..
I have changed the dummy fuel pods to different ones that have the fuel tanks inside which should free up quite a bit of space directly behind the cockpit.
They are slightly smaller than the originals but still look ok but will carry more fuel than the tank that was on before.

I have two vario bell 47g2's nitro's
the one has the tank under the cockpit floor/seat and runs great
the other has the tanks in the scale position and has running problems
with both tanks full if you do not clamp off the fuel line you flood the engine
on the first tank it will run rich and once empty with just the second tank with fuel in it the engine runs lean and gets very hot
I've not tried fitting a Y joint so both tanks drain at the same time
when I get around to it the tank will be repositioned to under the floor like the other one, until then I have set the timer and stop flying before the first tank is emptyHirobo Turbulence D3

the y joint should hopefully allow both tanks to drain equally
you will also need to use a y joint on the exhaust pressure pipe
it would make sense to have the pipes an equal lengthHirobo Turbulence D3
