I have a really nice looking 500 size BO105 in RedBull colour scheme I was going to get together and put a 4 blade head on it and I got a 3G to go in it ages ago but now I have realised I'm just never going to get round to it, too many helis and not enough time.

The connectors have a rubber shroud on them.
Pull that back before plugging in. Put some Zap Goo or Silicone sealant on the plug and fit it making sure the two small pips are there and seat well.
Put Zap Goo or Sealant around the joint and put the rubber cover back on.
Never had a problem after that.
You can also take the cover off the sensor and make sure the socket pins are upright and correctly pushed outwards towards the plug, not pushed back by a previous bad connection.
Then put epoxy around them where they meet the circuit board.
I think there are also tips for epoxying the sensors but you would need to do some searching to check.

I always found the 3G unit really nice, suited my style of flying and a very good introduction to flybarless.

Should suit your scale project perfectly.

yeah the gluing of sensors was before align started do it them self it was rather a popular mod specially if you was doing 3D it got rid of the early 3g's drifts

I've just shoved one in an RJX Xtreme 50e airframe and stuffed it in a heli artist airwolf fuse. testing tomorrow. then flippety floppety with 3gx airwolf.......... er, sorry I should have said, don't care if lumps around the sky in a scale fashion, all credit to the guys who can fly this way. I just want to tear up the clouds like airwolf did on telly when I was a kid. ( I learnt to fly with a .60 size vario bell 222 and mechanical gyro, um, 18 years ago or so. Now i'm just doing what I wanted to way back then, hoping 3GX makes it a very fun toy - scale heli, sorry)

If you want an SK720 I have one I can sell you at a decent price - think its pretty hard to beat from a scale perspective... Certainly seems to be the reference controller for that application.

The Naza-H + GPS is pretty funky too, the GPS mode is very easy to fly in a scale manor and the fact the heli can hover hands off really lets you enjoy it in the air.
Ridding the world of Helis, one crash at a time....

Just a thought, if your using 3GX for scale be aware that if you have retracts etc, and only a 7 channel receiver, you might find theres not enough channels if you want to use the gov function too.

I believe you can get them cheaper than that now, a brand new one for £73 from fastlad.
