Finished off my latest scale adventure. Align MD500E with Airy lighting kit.

She's had a counter clockwise conversion and has landing light and spotlight controlled from my dx8.

Very nice. What blades have you used (main and tail)? I'm just finishing my own Hughes but not sure my chosen blades are going to work.

The tail blades are trex 500 ones to help the tail authority. The main blades are stock align carbon, of course they're upside down and I added a red stripe for fun....

I know how much work goes into one of these & i almost completed mine then gave up & sold the lot so have to hand to ya well done looks very nice.

Looks great, shame they can't come up with some kind of rubber grommet/bung to fit the tail boom and fill that gap, my 600 size MD530 has a huge hole there.

Goodto see you have reversed the main rotor direction,every time I see a real heli flying I notice it straight away.Nice touch

I just wish Align would sell a left handed tail gear as an optional extra instead of having to make up Heath Robinson mechanics to fit into one of their scale bodies!

That said a scale heli just looks so right when it flies...

But the next project awaits and this lovely heli needs to find a new home.
