  • Very upsetting day

As per title, after nearly a year of building and setting up my air ambulance all really enjoyed i must say, i decided today was the day to maiden it so off we went to the field where i fly, all the checks done everything working as it should i preceded to spool up and lift off she flew and looked amazing but after a couple of slow circuits the tail blew out and blades hit the tail chopping it completely off and it hit the deck hard, so all my hard work came down to 5mins flying then disaster as i was on my own theres no video but i will upload some photos i took when i got home upset about it is an understatement Will i do another build?
just now i dont think i have the heart for it

      Ohh Mann, That's disappointing.

Seeing some of your other posts saying how long it's taken you to do the fuselage and all that !

      Feel sorry for you

Sorry to hear about the crash, i was contemplating building a scale heli myself but don't think i could face a crash, iv'e just rebuilt my Titan after a minor bump and that was bad enough!

Gutted for you Dave, exactly the reason mine doesn't fly very often. On the plus side they are fairly simple to repair once you get started. An old tee shirt for material and either epoxy or glass resin.

I'm gutted just reading about it to the point I am even more terrified now of maiden flights. Sorry for your loss. I love scale helis.
Helicopter pilots get it up quicker.

When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

Why simplify when it is so much simpler to complicate.

                              bad times m8

can only compare this to the guys that build planes, its more than just putting a kit together, all that time and effort it becomes part of u and emotional to see it finally fly.

                              sorry to hear it crashed
