  • EC135 - Align

    Morning all.

After a long wait, I finally got my hands on a scale fuz for my 450SE V2.

I got the align EC135 but much to my disappointment it arrived damaged.

I have notified the shop (Midland Helicopters) who are in the process of sorting it out for me.

Also I heard that Align fuselages are made by HeliArtist. Is this correct?

    Pete

yes, i believe align fuse are made by heliartist.
midland will get that sorted soon. i don't see any problems with that

i had my eyes on a hughes 500 for my 450 before... but i want to learn inverted flying so that plan was halted.

      Thanks for that.

I love scale flying so am looking forward to dressing my 450.

Have spoken to Midland and they are going to ring this afternoon.

        Great news!

I had a call from Simon at Midland Helicopters.

They are sending me a replacement fuselage and I get to keep the old one as spares!

That's what I call great service!

Love the service there from Midland.

for parts look for heli artists spares, they tend to be available but not Align branded. I had to get a spare set of fins for my 500 airwolf and had to do this.

Well I fitted the 450 into the fuz today.

It went really well but I had to put some weight in the nose to get it to sit right in the air. Otherwise I would had to have dialled in a whole bucket load of forward cyclic.

The other thing it, the extra weight of the fuz and nose weight makes me have to go to about 80% pitch to get it to lift!

                  Anyone else had this?

you needs to reset the pitch with a pitch guage from the pod and boom settings to more positive pitch for the fuz

Yeah, I don't think 0 pitch at mid stick is the recommended way of flying with scale bodies? Unless I'm wrong?

So what should it be then. What degrees at mid stick?

Maybe just a flat line for your pitch curve? So Heli should be hovering at mid stick?! The only person I know who might be an expert on scale flying is pchristy on here?!
