Selling scale models

Just wondered as I have never sold a scale before if its more profitable to sell it as a runner or split it.

I know pod n boom pays to split down but I would assume a buyer of a scale fuselage model would prefer a flying helicopter.

I am planning to sell my Airwolf 50 size with 600e flybarless mechanics installed,Futaba servos,full size blue v bar,jive 100lv with buffer pack,slow retracts,rjx fbl head polished silver,carbon blades,etc etc,maybe even with my main dx7 as I have two.

If I had to split I would not sell the jive and v bar never but assume I would seriously lose out on an incomplete airframe but together it would make selling the v bar and jive worth it.

Does this hold true?

Considering that a scale model does not require the percision that is offered by the V-Bar or the power capabilites of the Jive, it could be cost effective to swap out those two elements, replace with something something more akin to the requirements of a scale heli and still sell as an RTF model. Not saying to stick any old crap into it, maybe something like an Align 3G unit which is more than capable for the job in hand and can be aquired at a good price and a suitable ESC.

Thanks Aidi that's an option to consider very seriously,I have an Align original 600esc but that would require a bec but I might have one of those also.this is how I used to run it before I fitted the Jive from my old logo 500.

3G is again viable or 3gx even,purchasing one of these against the potential resale value would be worth it.

I have a figure in my head to sell as it is so might try it on eBay and see if it reaches it if not as you say downgrade and sell for lower.
