Isn't Ken in the wrong seat ? Left for fixed wing.
Right for rotary.
I learned to fly in the Bell47G, your one looks very nice.
I read in the bell the pilot sits on the left due to no power assistance of controls on the right.from all the reference pics I have he is on the proper side but I will check again.
Convention is that the pilot sits on the right in a heli, but its just that - a convention - and the Bell 47 is one of the exceptions to that convention. In a JetRanger or Huey, the pilot sits on the right.
No idea why they did it differently on the 47, other than as the first fully licensed, commercial heli, its design preceded convention!
