    Thanks, Matthew. I went into B&Q today but could not see anything which seemed to equate with your original description. However, now you have kindly given the product name I did see it on the shelf and will get it next time I am there. Many thanks again for being so helpful.

      You are welcome. It is not as aggressive as nitromors so will take a while longer, but as the old adage goes, less haste more speed.

        hi people yes the b&q stuff works really well have used it on nitro car body shells as well an works a treat without any softening of the plastic have also used on a 1980's omega professor cab for my kalt and no adverse affect noticable am soon to respray that so will post some piccies later ....

            I have now started stripping the bodywork using the B&Q plastic friendly stripper and this is working a treat. I find leaving it on for about 45 minutes is best and then use a stainless steed scouring pad to remove the paint. The surface can then be cleaned with meths and a rag.

            So thanks to Matt for that suggestion.

            I have filled some holes with P38 car filler but I believe there is a fine filler used by modellers. Has anyone an idea what that is please.
