  • Airwolf (Trex 500) Build Pics part 1

I've finally got round to getting all my build pictures together. I got the fuselage from Concept for a bargain 70 quid in November last year which included cnc landing gear.

There are three parts to this thread

    - part one
    - part two
    - part three

So from start to maiden flight...... here we go......

    (CNC stuff - nice!)

Making a start on the landing gear. I didn't have a scooby do about what I was doing - no instructions, so had to wing it but got there in the end...

The first issue was that the kit comes with carbon rods to support the cnc gear, but I found the carbon twisted far too much, so replaced them with steel shafts.

Now time to sort out the Navigation lights. My kit did not come with any lights, so I bought some via ebay for a tenner. I did not want to just glue them into the fuselage as that would look a bit untidy, so I bought some little led mounting clips which did the job really well

    The clips worked really well

    Tidy up the wiring time...

I got them from a company called "Toby" - here is the direct link to the clips:
