Scale size Guide - please.

Hi all,

I am joining a club next month and also getting a TT 50 as well, my question is......Does anyone have/mind doing a Scale guide as most fuse manufacturers seem to go on the Trex sizes and I am finding it a struggle finding scale fuses that will fit my TT.

Not sure exactly what you mean sorry, but a Trex600 is 50 size, so maybe a 600 scale fuse would fit a raptor 50 with a few mods?

You want 50 size scale bodies:

most funkey stuff will fit, eBay is also a good source but beware of UK import tax.

Thunder Tiger also do a really good Heuy and Hind for the Titan as well


It amazes me for years we had 30,50,60,90 size helicopters and Align come along and we end up with people calling them 600,700 etc etc but they generally down to Blade size.

450 trex 450 etc
500 trex 500 etc
30 size/550 shuttle 30, trex 550/ century swift etc
50 size /600 raptor 50,sceadu ,trex 600
60 size raptor 60 etc
90 size/700 raptor 90/trex 700

the raptor 30 needs a 50/600 size body but you need to put the raptor 50 boom and belt onto it

thunder tiger do their own bodies
also look at funky/century bodies (funky's are cheaper than the century ones) look up leamington hobby centre for funky bodies (your better off ringing as the web site is poor)

graupner do a range of 60 sized bodies aimed at the un-mechanic sets
vario do a range from 60 size to 1/3 scale (very large)
vari bodies are a modelers scale heli its not a quick put a body on, they take a good while to build

Heliartist thay do most bodys or try mark at sportsmoto there is also TF mods HK.
I have not yet found a scale body that fits w/o any mods, thay all will require fitting to the airframe you choose.

I have used the Fun-Key fuselages on both my Raptor 50 Titans and both needed very little adjustment.

The Funkey/Century bodies are designed to take the Raptor, Sceadu and Hawk mechanics. LHC are the main UK importer of Funkey. The Century bodies also come from Funkey, but are a bit more pricey. TT do make their own range, but they are for the 50 and 90 size airframes.

You'll find that these fuselages are designed mainly for electric airframes and would require some modification.
