Would it look better with black carbon main blades?
You can teach a man everything. Apart from experience.

Avatar aside - (cor blimey) - yeah, I have some black blades somewhere, I'll dig them out and give them a try.

          Cheers,

nice mate! Have you 'Maidened' it yet?

You also have to get those edf motors wired up!

              Hi Gav,

I hope to give it a gentle spin later this week with a bit of luck. As far as the EDF units - they are just for show at the moment, I just wanted to see what they would look like instead of just having open intakes, they look OK and they should actually spin with the airflow. Maybe I'll add some real motors later!

It's been a bit of a learning curve and I'd do things differently next time, but its been a blast - I just hope she gets through a few flights without any mishaps 'cos I'm going to be reduced to tears if she meets an early end!

              Cheers,
              Simon

do you have videos of this flying? how is the edf fan holding? does it make the heli go faster in forward flights?

I put together a set of build pictures and a video of the maiden flight (click here) The edf's are only fitted to fill up the air intakes and they are not operational - they look good but add no more power! For a direct direct link to the video click here

I've just removed the heli from the fuselage to change it to a flybarless unit, its just waiting for a few more test flights before re-fitting to the airwolf. I hope to get some recorded flights soon.

                        Cheers,
                        Simon
