  • R.i.p. Md530

I'm ****ed off because I totally recked my MD530 heli yesterday
Had some good flights with my other heli's and thought I'd have the last flight of the day with my truststy ol MD530
The light was'nt good for it really there being dark gray clouds around
and it being a dark greenish colour, not that Im blaming the light
I just wrong sticked it doing a low fast sharp turn,
took it back to the pits (in pices)
the guys were convinced it must have been mechanical failier, surprised when I told them it was me!
Such a shame I loved that heli and I know if I build another it won't feel the same so I guss I'll have to try another type of heli fuss, perhaps a Jet Ranger or something,,,,,

Sorry to read of your loss Peter, I didn't even get to see it in the air at Ashford but will be looking forward to see your new addition.

            could you repair the damage?
a packet of glass fibre matting/cloth and some resin from halford will be ok
or is the damage to bad?

sorry to hear of your loss

Thanks, but no, she's really beyond repair, fuss split all the way along tail boom, skids snapped off inside, completely destroyed the main frame + gears
and ripped off the fly bar.
Ok I'll post a pic tomorrrow

nm m8- my MD 530 has taken a real hammering - I tried to loop it before I went looping anything else and it went a bit wrong and ran out of steam- less damage from a crash on the head though :P

Move on and love it for what it was- a brilliant heli to get you places and get over that first hurdle I might sell mine very cheap before I totally wreck it.
