  • Opposite tail rod link

So ice just built my 600 Airwolf and although I've used a trex 600esp as the donor heli, I feel that this isn't the right set up. I've noticed that the push of is slightly touching the inside of the tail and looking at the fuselage I believe it should run along the top of the boom rather than the bottom? What I need to do is to put the tail unit on the top so the arm is opposite to where it normally is. Doe anyone know where I can get an arm that is opposite to the trex and most Helis out there, so I can try the push rod and servo on top of the boom. They seem to be handed as I've tried it and the hole for the ball link to go through is on the wrong side when on top. It's kinda hard to describe lol. If you picture or look at your tail, 90% are on the bottom, so the push rod fits to the ball link and on the left it fits to the tail hub, but where it bolts to the tail box is usually about 3 cm deep and it won't turn upside down. So what I need is a arm which has the tail hub hole on the right. Any one know where or who does such an arm?

I think im right in saying the TDR runs push rod on top of the boom? And the compass 6 and 7hv so the lever could be what I think your looking for? Where are you going to mount the servo though??

You have any luck with the logo last night dude?

ill have a look at the TDR, as for the logo, no good, spent 2 hours trying different things and still the same. I'm taking the brain off the trex and I'll put it on the logo to try and rule out the fbl unit. It's weird as when you put some rudder in it wags like mad. Can't see how the brain would cause that, surely it would just pack up completely?

The 6hv could possibly be a better size mate?!

If ginge has played with the logo dude id say its something mechanical!! Although changing the brain as you have one is a pretty simple check. New tx model memory though and reset the brain start again if your gona do it.
The mrs is going out on Friday mate so il come down if you going to be home?

Yes, the TDR tail pushrod runs on top of the boom. It uses a very normal lever and slider just mounted on top instead of underneath. The only unusual thing is that the mount that holds the lever attaches directly to the boom.

Ive ordered some new guides and I'm going to swap the servo horn and re position the boom support foam to see if that clears it.
