    MD530 crash last weekend

    The engine started to lean out for some reason so I low hovered it about a foot of the ground ready to land over some long grass,
    I was still in idleup1, the smoke made it hard to see so I started to move forward and up and some long weeds must have caught the skids
    There was a loud bang and this was the result
    Live and learn
    Tripler/Helipete/
    "I love the smell of nitro in the morning" & the odd electrickery thingy's

    Every so often I consider getting myself a scale Heli then I see photos like this and the urge goes away again.

            Hard to know what to say to ya mate other than i know id be gutted, you going to get it rebuilt.
            Today's outlook is fine for flying.
