AGusta A109 retracts ... Again!

After a few years of flying I have decided to make a move into some scale flying as well. Decided to start off small and convert by trex 450. I have bought the Align Agusta A109 kit. The retract system that comes with it looks awfully inadequate, having looked through the threads here it seems this is a common issue. Can anyone recommend a different retract system and undercarriage that will fit please. Had a look at some of the suggestions on previous threads such as sportsmoto, but they are out of stock.

you could always convert it to the kola model that uses skids
no retracts to worry about then

the convertion from agusta to kola is very simple, just fit the skids thats it


on building the model make stre the windows can be removed if needbe as the motor/esc and batteries may get hot through lack of ventalation in the model, with the windows removable its an easy fix to carry on flying if it gets a little too warm inside

Great, thanks for the advice on the windows. I will have a look at the skids option, but I have gone for the coastguard version which I think is more properly retracts. I have to say there is a little bit of me that really wants the retracts as well, but not at the unreasonable risk of the wider Heli.

if you do use the retracts takr off from a soft footing
tarmac or convrete should be avoided
