Clear Balls

found this company that make plastic balls for Christmas decorations and they do several sizes from 5cm to 40cm
the 25cm is nearest to the 40size scale
going to get one and see if I can cut it to shape using my dremil at £21 (inc post )its cheaper than getting one from LHC
as you wont need to buy a new cabin and it will be the right size

well done, that to me is what scale helis is all about, utilllizing what ever you can come across to over come issues. would be good to see the finished item.

well the Perspex ball arrived and the cutting began
I used a dremil do the cutting the only problem I found was that he cutting disc was 50% cutting 50% melting
so you need to wear safety goggles because of flying molten plastic
as you can see the results are quite good I will have to use a heat gun just to bring in the sides a little bit
that's tomorrows job
