as you've made a lock for the flybar
you can now follow the video's you've found for setting the pitch on a fbl heli
note that as the bell is left hand rotation the pitch gauge will read a negative value for a posative pitch on the heli
    so high stick reads negative
    low stick reads posative

    set high stick to -8
    and low stick to +3
you may well find this is on the max limit of the travel on the pitch range
if you can get a little more pitch on high stick then use it

how difficult do you think they would be to make
well I finally solved the basket/stretcher problem I managed to get hold of an action man stretcher I removed the yellow base which was covering a plain grey plastic base
which I then carefully cut out to make the bottom ribs then a quick trip to B&Q for some fine wire mesh and a bit of super glue and hey presto one stretcher which looks about right and wont give too much wind resistance

ok one for the maths boys and girls

          I have a second 1/7 scale bell 47 which I am rebuilding
but I am having to up scale the helicopter to a 60 size
I am doing this because I can only get a 60 size bubble and cab
so what I need to know is how much length do I need to add to the tail boom to balance out the bubble and cab

oops my fault the bell at the moment is a 1/9th scale with a 40 size engine
and I think the bubble is a 600 size
im still confused by these sizes/scale I am sure I will understand one day lol
so yep I need help in the extension of the tail boom to match the bubble and cab
can some one help me please

The problem is that '600' isn't a size that is based on any particular scale ratio.

You really need to look at the dimensions of the specific scale body that the 600 'bubble and cab' were designed for.

ok ive been reading back through this post and Electricsceadu recons that it is a 60 size
so I need to know what the difference is between a 1/9 scale and a 60 size so I can try and work out how much to extend the tail boom
                    (eeh that was complicated)lol

All the '60' tells you is that they thought a 60 sized engine was enough to fly the model, it doesn't help with the scale of the model.

Do you know which kit your parts came from?

Check the dimensions of the kit to get your answer...

the kit is a Bell 47 g shuttle from Leamington Hobby Centre

I am waiting on them to tell me the scale

from memory seeing jim morley's 60 size bell 47 that the shuttle kit is based on, the tail truss is about 10-11cm longer at the front section than the 40 size 1/9th scale model
                          i hope this helps

well after measuring the differences between the original cab and the replacement cab I came out with a size difference of 16%
so by increasing the tail boom by 16% it came out at 11cm increase
                            your memory is spot on
so now I can increase the length of the skids as well to match
                            thanks for your help
