Thanks again Steve , with the Monster head all 5 blades will be able to fold backwards just like the full size one with the other 5 blade heads you will need to fold 3 blades back and 2 forward and support them in transit ,
also are you going to keep it belt drive tail ???
i went for the torque drive tail so i can setup and test fly without the fuselage on with this conversion the tail gearbox just sticks through the top of the tail a little bit but once its in body colour you will hardly see it .

    regards phil.

Phil, not really thought about blade stowage for transport, do the two forward three back thing on my 450 sized md500!
Had no joy with the supplied tail setup, and couldn't see how I would adjust for belt tension. I purchased an aftermarket raised tail set from Micro Helis in Germany, this is belt drive also, but attaches to the std boom, allowing flight without the fuse.
As I was getting the electronics piecemeal I spent ages on the fuse, with rivets, and lots of external details etc. Oh, and a full scratch built cockpit!
My fuse has been ready and waiting for a while, even tho I keep adding and changing bits. I just need to do a shake down of the pod n boom set up first!
      Roll on the good weather!
      Regards

Steve I have followed that build thread didn't know it was you, very good detail and lots of time, fantastic looking model , i would be scared to fly that model with all the work and time you have put into it ,
what scale is the 500 size seakings ? where did you get the pilots and crew from ? ,
my seaking will have nothing like the detail of yours but i would like to have opening side door with winchman and maybe working winch , we have a local scale boat club so it will only be a matter of time before i do what all seaking pilots do

DUNKING !!!!!!!!!!! done it with my Huey a few times there

          Phil,
Scale sure is a labour of Love! I'm happy with how my fuselage has turned out!
As soon as I grow a pair I'll test fly the mechs. A school boy error last time out, destroyed the tail in my panic, and I can't afford any more misshaps!
Check and recheck everything and we'll be off!
Working from the dims I found, the scale works out at about 1:17
My son had some pilot figures in a 1:18 A/F18 Hornet that seemed to fit just right with the Sea King.
A look on the tinterweb for 10cm figures, got me some by Peterkin. The 'World Peacekeeers' range was what I found, and the Delta Force pack was what I bought, as their helmets looked like they would need the least amount of work converting to 'bone domes'. Looking online today amazon and ebay do the three pack for just under £10. Although the figs are listed as 9cm the ones I have here are 10cm! But a google search for 10cm 1:18 figures may lead you to something better?
I have seen few Sea Kings about, but one youtube has a sliding door and a working winch! Looks very cool. Moba.ch has my favourite, I listed the others in my thread.
I have a working winch, but not putting it on the Sea King! Maybe on the next one (it will have to be bigger!), Red Lodge helicopters are making a much bigger kit that I have on my wish list!
Look forward to seeing some of your footage, I've been very distracted with a newborn, and lots of work on the house, but ZH545 will be ready for the summer!
          Regards
          Steve

Fantastic model! I recently picked up an HK500 TT to build up, figured i'd like to try a scale model with it. Your thread has given me the motivation to try it! Cheers! :-)
