500 Seaking

this is my build up to now, its starting to take shape the kit came as belt drive tail have converted to torque tube drive with all 500 pro parts , have fitted the thin high lift Asymmetrical blades they fold up almost like the full size seaking ones just need to make a blade caddy to hold them in transport

nice build,love the rotor head,it looks a very snug fit.where was the head from? im thinking of converting my raptor 90 based md hughes to a multi rotor,and yours looks very sexy.

Thanks its from sportsmoto.co.uk it took a bit of work to get the head just above the fuselage , had to use shorter DFC shaft then shorten the links all fits and works now ,didn't want the head/swash sticking up through the body too much

That's a nice looking Sea King madphil! I'll be watching this with interest, as I've had my eye on their five blade head for my HAR3A.
Is the black head in some of the pics the other 500 size head sportsmoto do?
What motor an pinion are you running?
Can't wait to see the maiden!

Thanks Steve , Think they only come in silver i have used black etch primer on the head thats the only paint that will stay on an alloy head i then left in my oven to bake it's well baked on now,
i am using 11T pinion thats the lowest i can find ,
will post more pics as the build goes on , will be flying as pod and boom to get the setup right can't risk smashing the fuselage up theres not many 500 size seakings about now

Thanks for the info Phil.
Hadn't zoomed in on the pics, so seeing black head thought it was the other 500 5 blade head they sell. (That is probably the one i'll get).
But the Monster does look good, especially after your paint treatment.
Got to get my pod n boom flown before the fuselage gets flown, need to get on with it now though a I bought my Sea King Sept' 2011!
