      Thanks Boggy.

Size isn't everything but when it comes to scale it helps. Gav's Sea Sprite is a big bird but my guess he's working on something HUGE!

      I'll keep you posted.

      Cheers, Marty

        Hi folks,

Still plodding away at the project but I've now turned a bit of a corner with the moulds finished, hope to have a shell to start fitting out by the end of the year.
        Full thread in my sig.

          'Igor' flies!

          Hi folks,

Just a wee update (long over due) on the Wessex project. As you can see he's had some paint thrown at him and the first tranche of decals applied.
With the improvement in our weather, I've been tweaking and testing the Naza H with a view to taking it to the Red Lodge meeting on 5th June.
2016 Red lodge fly-in There's a huge amount of detailing to do but best to get some air miles on this bird before I apply all the snappy-off bits on!

          Cheers, Marty

Gorgeous that, I love it !
But I don't understand - what are we hearing? Some sort of sound system and loudspeakers on board?
How come the tail isn't coupled to the mains? Is there a seperate electric motor driving it?
Fantastic stuff, well done dude !

                          Thanks guys.

The main blades are still turning in the vid from landing to give the camera to a club member. The mechanics are modified Vario - one motor drives a lay shaft via the stock clutch which then drives the head and tail rotor. The freewheel is in the main gear housing so when the motor has stopped, so has the tail rotor. Not planning on any autos!

                          Cheers, Marty
