i've seen the cobra and it looked a nice model but it was unflown at the time
if the deal went ahead there is another model shop bringing them in

Motor, servos, ESC, FBL, RX, Lipo, I think that is pretty much all you need to add.

These kits aren't going to suit the real scale guys, but they certainly look good from a little distance and make for a very quick build.

I beg to differ,the finish on these kits imo look better than the average scale heli's i have seen at our own scale meet and charmouth.

Why do you say that Mark?

The only negatives I can see is that they have no weathering, and the rivets are comically large (really stands out on the cobra for example).

Other than that, they look fantastic IMO.

It's the rivets, if you are in any way serious about the scale aspect you'd have to remove them and re-do them all, at which point you might as well have started with a clean shell and painted it yourself anyway.

I've been following the Roban kits for a while now since they first appeared on the RC Aerodyne site and although I remain very impressed with what I've seen of the mechanics and the stand-off appearance of the kits, up close they just don't look right.

That doesn't mean that I am not still struggling with myself to avoid buying one as they do represent excellent value, but I'm not sure I can live with the rivets unfortunately ...

If i could build and finish something like these i would be well proud,just spraying a simple canopy was a nightmare for me,never again lol.
