I am going to be starting my slightly smaller scale project at the end of the month, it to is going to be a wolf, but based on an Eco 8 using a darth fuse. Gonna have to do a bit of my own scaling as the fuse is a 222. If you can give me any helpful info like paint numbers etc that would be good. Cheers
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

    And a DX8 too

          • A mate at my local model shop (Andy) who is frankly a bit of an airwolf buff (did you know that in Germany the pilot chap was called Huckleberry Hawk, 'cos Andy did) said of the paint scheme on my Airwolf- 'its the closest colour match I;ve ever seen'....

I still reckon pink for Chris though

Must say from the pics of your Jim and the video,it looks bloody realistic, the colour is very good and so is the actual livery

I am very keen to get mine finished and flown then i can stick it on top of the wardrobe and just keep polishing it

                • Its looking good, and sounds the part with the leccy in it.

Was gonna ask about retracts but ive just read back a little further and see you already said it had em. so cool.

many years ago I had a scale heli in the same shape, well before airwolf came out it was painted in pan am colours, think it had Heim mechanics in it, but I may be wrong there.

Bloody 'ell, that was lucky then lol!!!!
To be honest, that is a HUGE relief that your mate says its the closest match he's seen.

                    • hello,
first, I want to say who I am.
My name is Christopher, I'm 23 an I come from germany (help me with my english, i want to learn more).
                      I LOVE the lady!
I almost know every detail at this helicoter and now, I want to build an .50 size Airwolf too.
Wich modifications I have to do, if I want to use a T-Rex 600 too!

                      • Hi Christopher,we share a name and an interest in Airwolf

I used the Century 50 airwolf fuselage and it really needed no modifications to it as such,,the supplied instructions dont cover the hole positions for the mounts so you need to work them out

When i get mine back from Mark and Wayne i can take some measurements

Other than that, the mechanics need to be raised 15mm to 20mm roughly to get the correct height inside the fuselage

Any questions you have i will gladly try and answer

                        Chris

                        • yesterday, i was at the intermodellbau at dortmund.
I've spoken about that projekt with somebody who sells the Airwolf.
He said, that the T-Rex is to high and it is verry difficult.
After that, I found that thread and the fotos.
If it is possible, can you make fotos of the atechment from the body and the t-rex ?
                          thank you for your help

the edge at the bottom of the boddy, is it realy needed or is it possible that i cut it away and close the hole

Which hole do you mean, the fuselage has no holes to start with

I have simply glued 2 15mm by 15mm hard balsa strips inside the fuselage on the floor that the mechanics sit on and the 3mm bolts pass thru the fuselage bottom, thru the strips and into the mounting points on the frames where the skids normally bolt

It really is a very simple proceedure

                            • and the edge at the bottom (ca. 90° edge at bottom after the position of the rocket-pod), is it realy used or is it possible to cut it out?
i mean the hole that i will create with cutting out this ede, because the real Airwolf has a "clean" bottom and I want to clean it to.
I hope you understand, what I mean.

                              • I think you are referring to the hole you would cut out to allow cooling for a Nitro engine and glowplug access

With the T Rex 600 you do not need this hole, mine is not cut out,the only holes are the 4 3mm holes that the bolts go through
