  • Gaui X5 at fast-lads - the start of something?

Was surprised to see the X5 make an arrival at fast-lad. Great to see, but does this mean more of the Gaui line in future?

I'd like to be able to pick up X2 spares at fast-lad...

Hi Yes it does, we will be stocking the X2 kits and parts . They will be available in around 2-3 weeks.

X5 , 330x and new 500X are all available now and the X7 parts and kits will also be stocked as soon as they are released.

I just finished building the Gaui 500 X quadcopter.. It only took an evening to build and set up. Here's a video of the first flight. Nice and sunny but windy as hell :-)

    Here's a short video :-)

I've heard good things about the Gaui range. The X5 looks cool and as a combo with the BeastX should fly awesome!

            Cheers

I did an X5 build review last September for our club forum. It certainly is a great heli to put together, but I've not actually flown one. It's also great that FL are now doing the Gaui range as I may be in the market for a new electric heli at Christmas time!!!

              Check out my review:-

We wont be doing compass Parts .. We used to stock the products but the supply chain was so messed up we dropped them about 3 years ago.

The 500x has tons of punch. Looking forward to playing with FPV on it soon.. :-)

                  Cheers

Is there full parts backup for the X5? I've looked at one before but parts supply was a little concerning.

They look sooooo sweet. I want!

Good to hear that FL are stocking Gaui parts- wonder if they will also stock parts for the 425 basic?

Had mine just under a year and its a stonking machine for the price!- Does 3d very well and crashes nicely(!)
Been a 500 size machine and running 5 or 6s with 425 carbon blades means its an affordable machine and can be used as a practise heli- tend to learn new stuff with this before doing them on the 700.

There are quite a lot of stockists of GAUI 425 parts n kits plus X5 , 500X and 330x UAV's in the UK, like 'Midland Helis' - 'Sussex Models ' - ' Rossmods' - 'The Gaui Store' as well as ourselves, plus numerous other models shops throughout the UK - so there's tonnes of stock just waiting for you in the UK, were having next week are the X2 kits and 500X spares. It great that FL have started with these it can only help you all find out what a superb heli range GAUI have.

Just ask Rob Turnbull what he thinks of his X5 !!

A chap at our club has an X5 with a V bar and I'll go on record as saying that that is one serious 3D heli with insane amounts of power. He's had some proper hardcore crashes and it just doesnt want to break, just stick another pair of blades on and off it goes again!

If I was thinking about getting a larger electric model then the X5 would be right up at the top of my list.

What's the ideal lipo for these machines? About 4200mah I've read. Bit random if you want to transfer lipid to say a 600/700 etc which use 5000mah.
