Fast Lad Performance Flight Team 2011
It gives me great pleasure to introduce the Fast Lad Performance Flight team for 2011. Many of these faces will be well known to you. Both on this forum already, from the various fly in's and competitions around the country or from in our shop itself.
They are all here to help our customers as much as possible with any of the brands that we support in the shop. They are all nice and approachable and most of them are even house trained. So please feel free to say hi when you see them at an event. I am not quite done with the team yet so watch this space as there will be a few more to add in the near future.
Paul Lison, Team Captain
Paul is a seasoned competitor and has competed in 3D Masters at the highest level and at the Invite only XFC. He comes with a wealth of experience and has Judged at many UK competitions making him a perfect choice for competion tips. Paul has plenty of models in his line up but most recently he seems to be having a lot of fun with his Flybarless Rave 3D.
Matt Gill,
Matt is currently living up north of the Border in Glasgow. He took first place in 3D Scotland 2010 and also took a credible 3rd Place in the Park Hall Cup in 2010 against some very stiff opposition. And from what I have seen of him flying this year he has taken things to the next level. Keep an eye out for him at all of the Major comps in 2011. Matt is flying Logo 600's with V bar's and T-rex 700's also with V Bars.
Mattie Lodge
Matt is another firm favorite on the UK heli scene and Finished 3rd in intermediates at Clubman 3D in 2011. He will be moving up to champions level in 2011 to fight it out with the big boys. He is also planning to compete at Park Hall in 2011. Matt is also a heli examiner so he is a great person to go to get tips on passing your A or B Test. If you cut Matt he bleeds align. He is competing with a flybarless T-REX 700 in 2011. But when not competing you will see him beating the living daylights out of his T-REX 550.
Andy Hornyak
Andy is our resident gipsy and can be found most days selling lucky heather... Only kidding, Andy is the Fast Lad Performance Store manager. Andy is a former 3D Masters expert class finalist. But competition is not really his thing. Where he excels is in demo flights. He has pulled out some corkers at 3D championships, Ircha 2010 and his appearance, as "The Stig" at pitchbrothers 2009 is still the talk of legend in Denmark. Andy Normally fly’s whatever he can get for free, OK OK, just kidding again.. He is loving his Logo 600 with V Var, but he is also partial to his Rave 90 nitro flybarless. Most recently he has the record of doing the most pyro flips with an MCPX in our new work unit.
So thats our Motley Flight Crew for 2011, Many of them have other sponsors outside of the general Fast Lad Team, but one common point worth a mention is that they are all flying optifuel in 2011 and are all members of the Edge Rotor Blades Flight Team.
