Oh dear, am I really the only one on this section this year?
Helicopter pilots get it up quicker.

When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

Why simplify when it is so much simpler to complicate.

I still have my Raptor. Just rebuilt the motor.

The whole RC heli scene is really thin right now. Shame.

I wonder if quads has done for helis?
        Happy Landings.

This forum was on the decline, due mainly to first the exit of sponsored pilots, and then the FB groups that sprang up. Then the proverbial coffin nail was the changeover to the current design.

Ah, I remember when the sponsored pilots left.
I'm not sure FB had much to do with it. There are 4 or 5 sales groups on there, but practically no discussions at all. I keep thinking an RCHA group on FB might work. You'd have the mass of almost everyone already being on there, but the format of one stream of data doesn't work very well. The hangout being an example.
HF is still pretty good when looking/asking for answers but the only UK discussions I know of are on Discord.

David, I think the scene is pretty good right now. Funflys have been in abundance this year, there may be another new competition next year, the shop teams are all taking on new members, there are new helicopters, batteries and blades available, and sim evenings are a regular thing again with the darker evenings. Long may it continue.

I'm just repeating what others have said as to the theory that FB has taken traffic away from this forum. I am on a few FB groups for particular brands but I don't spend much time there. It would be interesting to know the stats from HF over the last ten years. The other thing that has been said before is less new people coming into the hobby, so eventually all the battled-hardened, crusty old sea-dogs like myself, simply don't need as much help or feel inclined to hang out on forums.

Most certainly quads etc. have done it.

How do you like your Raptor?

I still like it. It's calm to fly and easy to work on. Not sure what the spares situation is these days as they are a bit old hat now.
