Raptor30 engine

Hi everyone , have a raptor30 that had to change engine on , irvine 36 gone in it , whats best way to set engine up as i set it to old engine and wouldnt go above half stick without cutting out , so openend needle up near throttle arm and now goes above half way on stick but there is fuel pooring out exhaust
now as ive not had a lot of experience with glow motors im stuck
can anyone shed any light on what im meant to be doin to make this right ?
Using no8 plug and 20% optifuel

the main needle should be 3 turns out as a starting point.Screw it in from there to get the optimum setting.(fuel running out of the exhaust port is very rich)

Once you get it running, i used to use the 'calbrated finger' on the rear plate. stood me in good stead for years. if u cant hold ya finger on it for 10 seconds because of the heat, its too lean, if u can keep it there for more than about 10s then its too rich!

From there its just fine tuning.

Well i got it running , wound main jet till only lil bit fuel out exhaust , lil jet till it ticked over without blades moving and had hover above 6ft off floor , picks up good and dosnt splutter so am thinking carnt be far off at that
